Welcome to 221B Baker Street, home of the famous Sherlock Holmes! It’s important to be prepared before you dive into any detective work, so you’ll need to set your Total Bet before you begin your investigation.
Tap the blue ‘Bet’ button in the bottom left corner to set your bet-per-line. In Sherlock: To Scratch a Killer, you always play across all 15 win lines, so your bet will always be multiplied by 15 to determine your total bet. For example, bet 10p a line and your total bet will be £1.50. You won’t need to deduce it by yourself though – as you alter your settings, your Total Bet will adjust automatically on screen.
Use the ‘+’ and ‘-’ buttons or scroll to choose your bet-per-line, which can be anything from 1p up to a maximum of £10. When you’re ready to play, press the white floating arrow to spin.
You can also turn on the Auto Spin feature to keep the reels rolling for you automatically. You’ll find the ‘Auto Spin’ button within the ‘Bet’ menu. Tap this and then choose the number of spins you’d like to automate. You’ll also need to set a minimum credit level that you don’t want to fall below – Auto Spins will stop if you reach this. If you want to, you can set it to stop if you have a single win exceeding a certain amount too. Press the white arrow button to spin, and press ‘Stop’ at any time to revert to manual play.
How to Play Sherlock: To Scratch a Killer
When you’ve mastered all of your settings, there’s only one thing left to do. Press the white arrow button and spin those reels! They’ll spin and come to a stop at random, and then it’s time to survey the clues that appear before you. Do they constitute a win? How do you deduce if they do? Well, that’s easy! All of the knowledge you need can be found in the Paytable. Just access the Menu by tapping the three horizontal lines in the top left corner, and then select ‘Paytable’.
With all symbols except the Wild symbol, you’ll need to line up at least three on an active win line to win a prize. Because the police force have special jurisdiction, the Bobby Wild symbol can pay out with just two matching symbols. The more matching symbols you have, the higher your win is likely to be.
Here are two vital clues to start you off. 1. Win lines ALWAYS pay from left to right. 2. Any winning lines will be highlighted on screen and your winnings will be automatically added to your balance.
Whenever you line up a winning combination of symbols, you’ll receive a multiplier of your original bet-per-line. Your bet-per-line will be multiplied by that amount to determine your win. Don’t forget to check the Paytable to see which symbol combinations are worth the most!
It’s elementary that you can only win once on any individual win line, so only the highest value win on each line will be paid. If you sleuth your way to a win on multiple win lines in a single spin, all of your prizes will be added together to determine your total win.
We’ve mentioned him already, but our distinguished Wild symbol has some very special police powers. He can stand in for almost any other symbol on the reels to grant you a win where you may have otherwise lost.
To give you an example, if you lined up two J symbols on an active win line with a Wild alongside, he’ll act as a third J and turn it into a win. He’s not above the law though, so he can’t take the place of free spins or mini-game symbols to give you access to those features.
He also can’t help you to win the progressive Mega Jackpot because in this game, the only way to win that is within the Gold Scratch and Match mini-game!
Scratch and Match Mini-Games
Sherlock: To Scratch a Killer online slots has three scratchcard mini-games with huge prizes up for grabs. Spin in three or more Watson symbols anywhere on screen to access the Bronze Scratchcard, or three plus Moriarty symbols to enter the Silver Scratchcard game. Get three or more Sherlock symbols on screen and you’ll enter the Gold Scratchcard – the most distinguished mini-game of them all and the ONLY way you can win the progressive Mega Jackpot!
When your scratchcard loads, use your finger to scratch the middle of the windows to reveal the symbols underneath. Alternatively, you can just press ‘Reveal All’ to uncover all three windows at once. If you uncover three matching symbols, you’ll win yourself a multiplier, with one very big exception.
If you reveal three Jackpot 7 symbols when in the Gold Scratchcard game, you’ll win the entire progressive Mega Jackpot as it currently stands. Now THAT’S a reward worth solving crimes for!
Bonus Free Spins
Read all about it! The newspaper symbol is your key to the Free Spins feature, so if you see three or more on your reels, you’re really in luck! Spin in three, four, or five Free Spins symbols anywhere on the reels and get five, 10 or 15 free spins respectively.
While Free Spins are in session, you won’t be able to change your bet-per-line, as this will lock to the value of your last paid for spin. All of the symbols will also turn into shady characters who are under Sherlock’s suspicion. But wait, there’s more! If you spin in any Free Spins symbols while in Free Spins mode, you’ll earn an extra free spin for each one! So if you spun in three Free Spins symbols in this mode, you’d get an additional three free spins. In theory, your free spins could be endless!
When you create your first and only account with PocketWin, you’ll receive a free welcome bonus of up to £10!* If you decide to stick around, we’ll also match your first deposit up to 200% up to a maximum of £100. Join today, team up with Sherlock and see if you can win a fortune!
Progressive Mega Jackpot
The Mega Jackpot prize can be won if you reveal three ‘Jackpot 7’ symbols when in the gold Scratchcard mini-game only.
The Progressive Mega Jackpot is available as described above, with 0.025% of each bet being split evenly between the Progressive Mega Jackpot and the Reserve Jackpot.
The Mega Jackpot seed value is £100,000. The Mega Jackpot Promotional Pot System is available on any eligible stake on any participating game plugged into the Mega Jackpot Promotional Pot.
When the Jackpot is won in any of the participating games, it is reset to the seed value and begins to rise again. Simultaneous wins can occur, if another player wins the progressive Jackpot then a notification to this effect would occur BEFORE the current player was awarded the Jackpot. The likelihood of winning the Mega Jackpot increases in correlation with the players bet amount.
In the event of a communication error after a Mega Jackpot win result has been determined and before it has been displayed on screen, the win amount will automatically be transferred to the player’s account. While the game is live, the Jackpots cannot be terminated.
